Join the Dementia Enrichment Center community to connect with others who care for a person with dementia. In an engaging and encouraging environment, support group participants learn from guest speakers, celebrate successes, share challenges, and explore new strategies. This free support group is led by our Founder and Director, a Licensed Master Social Worker, who has extensive knowledge of dementia, thorough understanding of caregiving, and skilled experience in therapeutic care. Registration is not required.

Guest Speaker Summer Series
June 5: Kim Naylor and John Darby from Mercy House will share insight into memory care facilities. They will discuss preparing for memory care, funding options, and different levels of memory care.
June 19: Altus Hospice representatives June Rosas and Johnny Tindell will explain services and benefits of hospice, when and how to engage hospice support, and paying for hospice care.
July 3: Allison Rosen, Occupational Therapist and Owner of Manifold Grace, will introduce the Skills2 Care program. Developed by researchers at Thomas Jefferson University, Skills2Care is an evidence-based program to help care partners of people with dementia manage daily challenges more effectively.
July 17: Rainey & Rainey Attorneys at Law will share insight into the services and benefits of partnering with an Elder Law attorney. Learn how to get help with guardianship, nursing home planning, wills and trusts, Powers of Attorney, Medicaid and VA benefits, and more!
August 7: Dr. Chitra Hamilton, who practices geriatric internal medicine at Baylor Scott & White, will share tips for communicating with physicians, including important questions to ask, preparing for doctor appointments, speaking about dementia issues and including the person with dementia in discussions with providers, and caregiver responsibilities.
