Hailey Peek, Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP),  is the Founder and Director of Dementia Enrichment Center. Specializing in dementia and related behaviors, Hailey effectively works with caregivers and care partners to improve their skillsets and confidence and creates engaging opportunities for independence and enrichment for people living with dementia.  As a Dementia Capable Care Certified Instructor and certified Cognitive Stimulation Therapy facilitator, Hailey applies person-centered practices and trauma-informed care strategies to foster nurturing experiences and settings that accommodate the effects of dementia. In addition to a Master of Social Work, Hailey holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction and Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science. ​Email: [email protected]

Valerie Knapp has a diverse background in administrative management and program support. As the Assistant Director, she ensures the Dementia Enrichment Center runs smoothly and provides an exemplary participant and caregiver experience. Valerie creates and plans stimulating Enrichment Club activities,  works closely with Enrichment Club participants and their caregivers, and engages in community outreach. Valerie is a Certified Dementia Capable Care Specialist and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University.

Hannah Williamson is the Enrichment Manager. She prepares and facilitates activities, and manages our meal program. With a warm and patient demeanor, Hannah applies her experience working with people with dementia to create an environment where day program participants feel belonging and success. She is a Certified Dementia Capable Care Specialist.

Marcos Centi is an Enrichment Specialist in our day program. Applying his background in long-term care, dementia, and aging, Marcos creates engaging and fun opportunities for our day program participants.  A native-Spanish speaker, Marcos holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Texas at San Antonio and is a currently pursing a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He is a Certified Dementia Capable Care Specialist. ​

 Emily Gary is a Enrichment Specialist who enhances our day program with stimulating creative, music, and movement activities. She is a gifted pianist who holds a Master of Music from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Music from University of Montevallo (Alabama). Emily is currently pursing a certification as a Licensed Music Therapist and Certified Dementia Capable Care Specialist.

Sunshine is the Dementia Enrichment Center mascot, welcome committee, in-house entertainment, and security guard. She enjoys chasing lizards, chilling with her chicken friends, and socializing with Enrichment Club participants. Whether perched on the roof or sprawled across the front sidewalk, Sunshine always welcomes guests and gladly accepts their belly-rubs and compliments.

Gryffin, named after Gryffindor House in Harry Potter, is the Dementia Enrichment Center's companion pooch. He is a Great Dane who owns our Assistant Director, Valerie. This handsome guy -- with all his fun spots, floppy ears, and enormous feet -- soaks up the love and gives our participants affection and attention in return!
