How many people live at the Enrichment House?
The Enrichment House can have up to three residents. Our staff does not live on-site, to ensure professionalism and attentiveness while they are on shift.
Who lives at the Enrichment House?
The Enrichment house is designed for people with dementia who benefit from a secure, engaging environment and need supervised or supportive care in a shared living setting. People with extreme hallucinations/delusions, aggressive behavior, and those requiring skilled nursing are not a fit for our program.
Where is the Enrichment House located?
The Enrichment House is in west Temple, Texas, near the area of West Adams Avenue and South Pea Ridge. Built in 2000, the house is in a residential neighborhood where residents can enjoy chaperoned walks on sidewalks, visits to the picnic area and wading pool, and interactions with friendly neighbors.
What are the qualifications of staff?
All Enrichment House staff are certified in caregiving, Dementia Capable Care, and CPR/first aid. They have been thoroughly vetted based on experience and commitment to dementia caregiving, and have passed background checks and drug testing.
Are staff awake during the night?
Yes! The Enrichment House always has a staff member on site who is awake, alert, and attentive to residents.
Is the Enrichment House licensed?
The State of Texas does not require or issue licenses for elder/personal care home that serve three or fewer people.
What if a resident needs additional care?
Enrichment House is a personal care and assistance home and does not provide nursing care, but we do work with home-health and hospice agencies to ensure residents can receive the nursing and therapeutic care they require. The cost of care outside the scope of Enrichment House services is the responsibility of the resident and paid directly to the provider by the resident/responsible party or health insurance.
